J-Basket mochi pancake, waffle, and crepe

Ingredients

For mochi pancakes (makes 2 pancakes):

  • 1 cup of J-Basket mochi mix.
  • 1/3 cup + 1-2 Tbsp of water. You can add a teaspoon of water if the batter is too thick.

For mochi waffles:

  • 1 cup of J-Basket mochi mix.
  • 1/3 cup + 2 Tbsp of water.

For mochi crepes:

  • 1 cup of J-Basket mochi mix.
  • 2/3 cup of water
Directions

For mochi pancakes:

  1. Mix the recommended ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until smooth. If batter is too thick, add a teaspoon of water as needed.
  2. Let batter sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat griddle or frying pan to 350°F then lightly oil griddle or frying pan.
  4. Pour batter into pan creating a 4" circle and cook about 2 minutes each side. Flip when several bubbles are formed and edges starts to brown.
  5. Serve with your favorite topping

For mochi waffles:

  1. Mix the recommended ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Let batter sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Lightly oil and preheat waffle iron or machine.
  4. Pour batter into iron starting from the outside edge moving towards the center. Cook for 3~4 minutes. Cooking time will vary by machine
  5. Serve with your favorite topping

For mochi crepes:

  1. Mix the recommended ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Let batter sit for 5 to 10 minutes (optional).
  3. Lightly oil a frying pan, pour in a little batter, and swirl around to make a thin layer. Cook for about 2 minutes each side.
  4. Fill the crepe with your favorite fillings / toppings and serve.
