Mapo Tofu

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. House Foods Bulk Tofu Super Firm
  • 3 boxes House Foods Chinese MaboTofu Sauce
  • 6 oz ground meat (beef or pork)
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
Directions
  1. Drain excess liquid from the tofu and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the tofu into 1 inch cubes and set aside.
  2. Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the ground meat and stir fry cook until brown.
  3. Lower the heat to medium-low and add the House Foods Mabo Tofu Sauce into the pan with meat. Stir well to combine.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the pan. Stir carefully to coat the tofu with the sauce, being mindful not to break the tofu.
  5. Simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes, allowing the tofu to absorb the sauce and sauce to thicken slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with green onions as desired and serve over steamed rice.
