Soy Garlic Chicken Wings

Ingredients

Wings:

  • 1½ lbs chicken wings
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • Cooking spray

Sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp butter:
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup Kikkoman Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Dynasty Sesame Oil
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Kikkoman aji mirin
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch

For serving:

  • Green onions, thinly sliced
  • J Basket Roasted White Sesame Seeds
Directions
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, toss the wings with the cornstarch. They should be evenly and lightly coated.
Place in the air fryer and spray with oil.
  2. Cook the wings for 18-20 minutes, flipping or tossing halfway through, until browned and crisp.
  3. Mix together the Kikkoman Soy Sauce, Dynasty Sesame Oil, brown sugar, mirin, water and cornstarch. Whisk until combined. Set aside.
  4. In a small pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the garlic. Allow to cook for 1 minute, then add the soy sauce mixture.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for a few minutes, whisking often, until slightly thickening. Remove from the heat.
  6. Remove wings from the air fryer and immediately toss them with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Sprinkle with sliced green onion and J Basket Roasted White Sesame Seeds.
